Miro thus carried out this series of engravings "Enrajolats" (7 etchings and aquatints) at Joan Barbara studio in Barcelona at 86 years old, just after the series of prints of "Rupestres", and a little before other engravings of very first importance in the work of the artist: series of "Els Gossos" and also "Comédia del arte" engraved the same year at Barbara workshop. They count among the most succeeded works and most required of the artist.
